Top RAK official obtains first e-gate card

Ras Al Khaimah: The Ras Al Khaimah Airport issued its first e-card on Thursday making it easier for passengers who now do not have to stand at the immigration counters.

The e-gate cardholder now need only swipe the card without having to present the passport at immigration, officials said.

The e-gate facility has been operating at Dubai and Abu Dhabi international airports for some time and will be introduced to the other airports nationwide in the coming few days, a senior police officer said.
